Duck and Dive

Duck & Drive - are a matching pair of 11hh Welsh Mountain Pony mares. Both are 22 years old now but only started their scurrying career when we bought them 7 years ago (having previously been 'ladies of leisure'!) They are a delight to own and have taken us to many amazing places, such as the Northern Ireland International Horse Show (2006), many of the top County, Royal & International Shows and numerous Game and Country Fairs which are often held in the grounds of some of the most magnificent Country Estates in England

Some of the high points of their career to-date have been winning their class outright at the 2006 British National Scurry Driving Championship, Reserve Champion at the Northern Ireland International Horse Show 2006 and Reserve Champion at Devon County Show 2007.

Driver - Melvyn Crook, who runs a Car Valetting business in Wiltshire. Melvyn lost his novice status in 2006 and has been enjoying successfully competing with the open drivers since.

(Groom) Melvyn's wife, Maxine, balancing the scurry cart during racing, and acts as trainer at home, exercising and looking after the ponies.
